Talking iPads and tablet on Community TV

In April, I was asked to come on a local cable access show called “Gray Matters,” to talk about iPads and tablet computers. The idea of the show is to highlight topics of interest to local seniors, and I was asked to give an overview of tablets and then answer questions from local seniors. It was actually kind of fun, though nerve-wracking a bit. Here is the half-hour segment.

Presentation: Digital Downloads + Customer Service

I presented this workshop on offering great service for digital downloads to members of the Long Island Library Resources Council at the beautiful Brentwood Public Library on November 12, 2013.

Library Snapshot Day Presentation

Connecticut libraries have an annual “snapshot day” where we collect statistics, comments and photos of patrons on a single day. This is the presentation I put together from the 2012 Snapshot Day.

Teen Advisory Board flyer

I created this flyer advertising our first meeting of our new Teen Advisory Board.

Annual Fact Sheet 2012

Inspired by some libraries’ fact sheets, I created this one based on the James Blackstone Memorial Library Annual Report for 2012.

Digital Download Help Website for Librarians

I created this Digital Download Help website to support librarians who are dealing with digital downloads. This site includes help sheet handouts and programming ideas, plus links to ereader information.

MLS Capstone Project 2010

To complete my Master’s in Library Science degree, I created this website, which encapsulated much of the work I’d done towards the degree. Included in the site are links to instructional videos I made, coursework I completed and a report of my special project, which involved comparing children’s programs offered by a library system that supported children of working parents.
